IBM faces Gypsy Holocaust suit

Gypsy groups plan to file a lawsuit against computer group International Business Machines alleging its machines helped Adolf Hitler identify and send 600,000 members of the minority to their deaths in the Holocaust, a lawyer said last night.

In a statement, Henri-Philippe Sambuc said the Gypsy International Recognition and Compensation Action group would file a civil suit in Geneva against IBM for "complicity in crimes against humanity". Reuters, Geneva
